Museum Exchange supports two primary account types: donor accounts and institution accounts. Representative accounts are a subset of donor accounts.

Donor accounts
Donor accounts are for individuals or representatives offering an object or collection for donation.
Representative accounts
Representative accounts are for individuals offering an object or collection for donation on behalf of the donor. Common representatives include personal assistants & staff, wealth managers and other finance and tax planning professionals.
Institution accounts
Institution accounts are for museums and other collecting institutions participating in the donation process.
Institution users can create an account to access Museum Exchange as part of their organization’s participation in the platform. One institution can have multiple users associated to it and users can have different
